From large-scale paintings to small logos, Mary Jo expresses creativity through two disciplines: art and design. Working steps from the ocean, she joyfully divides her time between the two.
Once described as “irreplaceable” by renowned architect and designer Michael Graves, Mary Jo’s design work spans over 20 years with clients such as Harvard Business School, Harvard School of Public Health Center for Work, Health, and Well-being/Dana Farber Cancer Institute, athenahealth, Michael Graves Design Group and Target. She also designed the Voss Water logo and co-created the award-winning bottle design.
Mary Jo creates art for beach houses and for people who love the sea. Her work includes oil and acrylic paintings of lobsters and seascapes. Her art can be found in homes and businesses in the United States and abroad.
Mary Jo’s experience ranges from plein-air painting in Pietrasanta, Italy to design direction in New York City. She now lives in her hometown of Nahant, Massachusetts with her husband and two sons.
